TestimonialsWe have known the Walker's for several years and they have helped us with our horses in multiple ways: sales, training, teaching, boarding, and transportation. We find them to be consummate horse professionals in every aspect of their work. The welfare of the horse is their first priority even when it might not benefit them personally. We have found them to be ethical and honest in every aspect of their life. They provide a level of love and care for horses that is seldom seen among professionals without sacrificing success. We can recommend Station Hill Farm and its owners, Brewster and Judy Walker to anyone wanting excellent care for their animal while the horse and its rider are both trained to reach full potential. ::: February 07, 2008 by Tony and Judy Seaber Our daughter, Laura, was determined to compete in equestrian sports. When we finally gave in and decided to purchase a horse, Judy and Brewster were there to help us from the beginning. They assisted us in finding a horse that was safe but able to perform in any shows that Laura chose to be in. We are able to board him there at Station Hill Farm and have never worried about his safety or care. It is the cleanest barn I have ever been in! There is nowhere on the East Coast that you can find a better team of instructors in residence. The proof is in our daughter's performance record. At age 16, she received her Bronze medal in Dressage (that does not happen often) thanks to Judy's constant, patient guidance. At the same time she was Eventing and with Brewster's instruction, from years of experience in the jumping field, was able to place second at Preliminary level in the American Eventing Championships. They also won Horse of the Year Award from NCDCTA three years in a row in Eventing. From a parent's point of view, the most important lesson Laura has learned from them is good work ethic. They expected her to work hard at caring for her horse and to excel in her riding. They taught her to except failure as well as success with dignity and a sense of humor and were supportive whatever the outcome. Our continued association with Judy and Brewster is a choice we will never regret. If anyone wants to talk with us about our experiences there, feel free to give us a call. 919-477-6978 Marie & David Sappenfield ::: December 30, 2007 by David & Marie Sappenfield Judy and Brewster Walker helped me (an inexperienced adult amateur) buy my first horse, a 9 year old TB cross mare. I keep her at Station Hill Farm because she gets excellent, full time, 24-7 care. I am a professional with a demanding job, and I do not have to worry about meeting the farrier or the vet for minor issues unless I want to, these are taken care of. The barn is immaculate and the straw bedding is always clean. Daily feeding, individual turnout (but close to the rest of the herd) and blanketing is also taken care of. There was never a shortage of good hay during this year's drought. The quality of training that my horse and I receive is amazing. Judy and Brewster have helped me move toward my goal of being a safe and secure rider, whether jumping or dressage. They treat me in lessons as if I were a top-notch competitive rider, and pour their heart and soul into every lesson. They have shared their professionalism, support, friendship and encouragement in the beauty and safety of their state of the art facility. Station Hill Farm has been an exceptional place for me and my horses to learn. ~Helen Ingersoll Dressage rider, Owner of Haven Salon ::: November 13, 2007 by Hellen Ingersoll |
